Building a Strong Foundation for Disability Inclusion in Tanzania
At SHIVYAWATA (Shirikisho la Vyama vya Watu Wenye Ulemavu Tanzania), we are starting a transformative project to construct the SHIVYAWATA Building in Dodoma City, the capital of Tanzania.
This building will serve as a national center for disability rights, empowerment, and advocacy, providing a safe and accessible space where people with disabilities can access services, training, and opportunities for growth.
Our vision is to create a permanent home for inclusion, a symbol of strength, unity, and dignity for all persons with disabilities across the country.

Why This Project Matters
People with disabilities in Tanzania continue to face many barriers in education, employment, and accessibility.
The SHIVYAWATA Building will be a beacon of hope and change, housing:
- Offices for coordination and advocacy activities
- An accessibility resource and training center
- Meeting and conference halls for disability organizations
- Safe and inclusive spaces for empowerment programs and awareness initiatives
By supporting this project, you are investing in equal opportunity and long-term inclusion for people with disabilities.
We Need Your Support
We are calling upon stakeholders, partners, and well-wishers, including individuals, institutions, and organizations, to join us in making this vision a reality.
Your contribution will go directly toward construction, furnishing, and accessibility design, ensuring the building truly represents inclusion for all.
Together, we can build a legacy of empowerment for generations to come.
