Call for Applications Employability Skills Training Program – Tanzania (Cohort 1) For Young Graduates with Visual Impairment

Kilimanjaro Blind Trust Africa (KBTA), in partnership with SHIVYAWATA and the Mastercard Foundation, invites applications for Cohort 1 of the Employability Skills Training Program scheduled to begin in January 2026 in Dar es Salaam.
This 6-month program ( 3 months training + 3 months internship ) equips young graduates with visual impairment with practical work-readiness and ICT skills, and links them to internships with inclusive employers.
Training schedule: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:00 for three months at the SHIVYAWATA Training Center, followed by a three-month internship.
Who Should Apply
Applicants who meet all the following:
- Young graduates with visual impairment (including total VI), aged 20–35.
- Post-secondary qualification: diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree.
- Able to attend training in Dar es Salaam for the full training phase.
- Independent mobility to access the training location.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using a computer.
- English proficiency (spoken and written).
- A clear career goal aligned to your field of study.
- Able to commit full-time for 6 months (training + internship).
